bookmarker — Terms of Use
Last updated 31 August 2026
These terms cover the bookmarker app and the bookmarker web app at bookmarker.lol (together, "bookmarker"). By creating an account or using bookmarker, you agree to them.
What bookmarker is
bookmarker lets you save links you choose to save, files them into topics, and makes them searchable. With an account, your saves are backed up and synced between your devices. bookmarker links out to the original pages; it does not host or reproduce their content.
Your account
You sign in with your email address (via a one-time code) or a supported sign-in provider. Keep access to that email or provider account secure — it is how your account is protected. You must be at least 13 to use bookmarker. You can delete your account at any time from inside the app; that permanently removes your account and everything backed up on our servers.
Your content
The links, notes, tags and topics you save are yours. You give us only the permission needed to store them, sync them between your devices, and show them back to you. We do not sell them, show them to anyone else, or use them for advertising — see the Privacy Policy for the details.
Acceptable use
- Don't use bookmarker to store or distribute unlawful material.
- Don't probe, overload, resell or interfere with the service, or try to access anyone else's data.
- Don't use automated tools to bulk-fetch pages through bookmarker's preview service.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
Automatic filing and summaries
Topic suggestions and library highlights are generated with the help of a language model and can be wrong. They are suggestions, not statements of fact, and you can always change how a save is filed.
The service itself
bookmarker is provided "as is", free of charge, without warranties of any kind. We work to keep it available and your data safe, but we cannot promise uninterrupted service, and to the maximum extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or losses caused by third-party sites and services a saved link points to. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes
If these terms change materially, the updated version will be posted here with a new date above. Continuing to use bookmarker after a change means you accept the updated terms. If we ever discontinue the service, we will give you a reasonable opportunity to export your saves.
